Giving Tuesday is an annual global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year for Giving Tuesday, Humanities Foundation is highlighting their Marketplace Program which provides free food, including fresh produce, meats, as well as sanitation supplies, to families and seniors of low-income. Due to the increased need during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Marketplace Team has ramped up efforts and distributed over 1 million pounds of food to low-income residents and the community just since March 2020……and over 2 million pounds since the Program’s inception!
In collaboration with many dedicated community partners, Humanities has sponsored more than 150 curbside food distributions serving countless families and seniors with trunks full of food. As the holidays approach, the Marketplace distribution schedule continues to expand which also means our Team and supplies must meet the demand. Help put food on the table and support those in need this season by donating to our Marketplace Program for Giving Tuesday!
