“Train Up a Child” – Mentoring Program

Pinckney Group Mentoring Program (PGMP) is an educational/mentoring based program for the children and youth residing in our Seven Farms Apartment community. This is an amenity which is free of charge to the residents of the property for children from kindergarten to 12th grade.

This project was launched in response to the nine lives that were so senselessly taken on June 17, 2015, at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Our goal is to link economically disadvantaged at-risk children to positive role models and leaders by providing anticipatory guidance that can lead to modifying negative behaviors. We want to encourage our youth to become positive assets to the communities in which they live.

  • Provides a safe supervised learning environment
  • Promote equality
  • Enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Improved behavior, both at home and in school
  • Improved overall life skills
