Summer Adventure of a Lifetime

This Summer, our Campers embarked on a journey filled with laughter, learning, and new adventures. A few Highlights:

Football and Cheer Camp with Carlos Dunlap - To jump-start off our summer students were afforded to opportunity to attend Super Bowl Champion, Carlos Dunlap’s Football and Cheer Camp. Each camper had the opportunity to work on their individual skills with true NFL and Cheerleading professionals while also building character, leadership, and team-building skills.

A.R.I.S.E. (Aim, Reach, Inspire, Succeed, and Enrich) - Arise International was founded by Angela Henderson to bring community transformation by supporting the educational system with initiatives and programs of fluidity that will empower students from grades K5-12 to Aim, Reach, Inspire, Succeed, and Enrich their own lives and the lives of others through: Personal Discovery, Leadership Development, and Team Building.

Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic, previously named SPAWAR -NIWC Atlantic supports multiple Cyber Security events to promote STEM to students K-12. During these events, students harpen their skills and promote their learning of cybersecurity through hands-on activities. Cyber events encourage students to think about their college careers by exposing them to various degree programs that fall under the cybersecurity spectrum. NIWC provides a week-long camp to both Seven Farms and Ivy Ridge Apartments.

MAD PARK - This summer collaboration focused on educating our future generation of children on the foundations of health. Executive Director, Stephanie Harvey provided a day camp that focused on the importance of shifting generational barriers in health that directly affect marginalized communities. It helped to bring fitness, nutrition, and well-being awareness to their families and surrounding communities.

College of Charleston Campus Tour - Campers were granted the opportunity to tour the College of Charleston and learn about its history and experience the beauty of the college’s historic buildings and shaded walkways.

Additionally, the children enjoyed bowling, movies, county parks, trampoline parks, and tours of Water Mission
