Urban Land Institute Event & Tour of Archer School Apartments
On July 26th, Urban Land Institute hosted an event and tour of the Archer School Apartments development currently under construction on Charleston's Eastside. Our construction partner, Trident Construction sponsored the event.
The event began with a short presentation of the project’s journey. Our President, Tracy Doran, talked about the spirit that brought together many partners to make this dream a reality. Chris Burrell, senior project manager at Trident Construction, discussed the strategies taken before and during construction to address project challenges. After the presentation, the group took tours of the project, followed by a happy hour at nearby Palace Hotel.
The 89 thoughtfully designed units will serve seniors who fall at or below 80% of the area median income. Archer School Apartments is set to become a community resource for long-time residents of Downtown Charleston’s East Side neighborhood.
